This is what I had always thought and wanted to live, but did not exactly know where to find it!!! Till the morning of the 3rd when this Dominicanyork lady with a strange hair-do emerged out of the arrival gate of the NSCBI Airport and proceeded to cha
nge my life! And not only mine, of 23 others! It was crazy and yet so so simple!!! No gimmick, no big-mouth theory, just simple life and yeah a hell lot of theatre, theatre derived from everyday life and situations. Theatre is, I learnt, what we do everyday, how we be!!! It needn't have a message, a direction, a destination!!! It is just celebration, it is a lot of craziness, a lot of laughter, hip-hop, rock 'n roll, jazz and great fun! Yeah baby, it is just theatre, it is not the cure for AIDS. That is not our fucking business man, it is just fun! It is about finding rhythm and meaning in everyday life and reality. It is about heightened conciousness, of soaking in the maximum from the bombardment of images and simulations all around, and reproducing it all out! It is about learning how to learn, how to look within, of surprising the body and seeing what it can do! It is about stopping traffic, and lying down in a dirty road while clad in pristine white! It is about love, sharing, caring, of being so close as to be a relative, an ATTIYA, one who has relations with the soul, theatre is Josefina Baez!!!
I loved the workshop, everything that we did, together, as a group, as an individual, better than anything that I had ever done! And boy, what a relationship did I forge! A friend for life, a mentor, a guardian, a teacher, bloody fucking Big Guru J. You rock man, yeah you do!!!

This is the kind of theatre that I have always wanted to do! Something that grows with and on you! Something that you carry along with you!!! I dunno when will I meet her again, but I will and yeah man, I know that!!!
